Introduction to Networking for Impact
1. What are you interested in?
2. Who knows about your interests?
3. Who is in your network?
4. Reciprocity
Impact Integrators™ are self-paced, online training courses featuring short films and associated activities to apply the learning. Access is provided for 8 weeks and on average it takes 3-5 hours to complete each course, or the equivalent of a half-day workshop if completed in one go.
In this short video, Saskia Walcott explains how the training works, what to expect and how it supports researchers in developing the skills, mindset and confidence to embed impact into their projects from the outset.
“The tasks are easy to understand and doable. They encouraged me to reflect on my own networking practices and make important changes. ”
Laura Gower, Northumbria University“Networking is an essential part of life, and it is good to refresh networking skills continually. This course is for early to mid career researchers but also provides a useful reminder for experienced researchers. ”
Chris Howorth, Royal Holloway“One of the things I like about Impact Integrators is that it breaks down ideas you think you know and forces you to reflect on them, which often brings new things to light.”
